You will learn about the specific cultivation and processing of this green tea and the criteria necessary to qualify as matcha. Following this introduction, you will have a greater appreciation of matcha and its culinary proliferation into the modern day tea experience.
You will also have an opportunity to experience the joy in traditionally preparing your own bowl of matcha with a special matcha whisk (chasen). We will enjoy sipping our matcha together with a delicious canelé from the contemporary bakes kitchen of Bella & Tortie.
