The newly formed Brisbane Fair Food Alliance has teamed up with UQ and QUT to offer a night of food soverignty conversation and small batch dining from Indie treats, Mussel Brothers and Peruvian Munchies.
Join us at 6.00 for a 6.15 start for a panel discussion about “Moving Fair Food into the Future”. This responds to the need provide food that is fair to eaters and farmers available to all sectors of society. How do we shift fair food from niche to mainstream?
Your panel guests for the evening will be Micah Oberon – Urban Farmer – River Soil Organics, Oxley, Kylie Newberry – Brisbane Fair Food Alliance (Specialises in Food Policy, Public Health and Nutrition), Nick Steiner – The Mini Farms Project (Feeding, training and supporting homeless people, or people at risk), Angela Hirst – Director of Wandering Cooks and Simon Grigalius – Cooking for a Cause Coordinator and Sustainable Chef, Oz Harvest. Dr Kiah Smith from The University of Queensland will be the host for the evening.
